I would like to take you on a brief journey through time and tell you how Animal Lover came about and why we are different from so many other “dog brands”.

First we have to introduce a key figure: That's Nele!

Nele was the dog of the animal lover founders Josi and Philipp. As the Bavarian mountain sweater got older, her health problems increased.

Tartar increased, joint pain increased and the risk of ticks also increased from year to year. Regular visits to the vet (unfortunately) always led to the same diagnosis: a tablet here, a tablet there.

But please don't misunderstand: sometimes this is the only way. But not all symptoms always have to be caused by “chemicals”, because herbal alternatives can also help here.

Since the side effects of the “chemical club” put a lot of strain on the internal organs such as the liver, the long-term administration quickly took its toll on Nele. So it was time to act and look for natural, gentle alternatives.

But back then there was simply nothing. Just a few powders or tablets that had two things in common:

They were completely underdosed and had no effect at all. In addition, the application was extremely complicated. Time-consuming weighing and mixing together, only for the dog to sort it out straight away and leave it lying around.

“Why can’t there be something that helps Nele 100% naturally and is easy to use at the same time?” - That was the question that ultimately led to the founding of Animal Lovers.

Together with veterinarians, animal health practitioners, nutritionists and feed experts, we started developing new alternatives in 2016 with which we can help our four-legged friends in a 100% natural way.

What started with a simple idea is now a team of over 35 people who fight every day for healthy pets without the use of chemicals. No matter whether you are a veterinarian, nutritionist, production expert or the shipping team: everyone IS an animal lover with all their heart!

And you can notice exactly this “animal lover DNA” in every little detail: no matter whether product quality, customer service or shipping - there is an extra portion of animal love everywhere.

A special highlight: In 2022 we started to launch our “Donate Animal Love” mission to help street dogs in need.

Together with the support of our over 200,000 customers and the rescue organization BAWA, we recently opened a veterinary clinic for dogs in need in the heart of Bali. Here we have already been able to give thousands of dogs a second chance.

Four animal-loving veterinarians are now on site around the clock to alleviate the suffering of the animals there and to provide them with medical care. A project close to our hearts that makes a big difference, especially for animals in need.

So you see: Animal Lover is much more than just “another dog brand”. It's a shared mission to make a lasting difference in the lives of as many animals as possible.

We are therefore particularly proud that to date over 200,000 other pet owners have joined in and are helping their dogs with natural alternatives.

The animal lover products are now also part of the range of many veterinarians, alternative practitioners and nutritionists. A sign that we are changing the industry sustainably.
